Kumar Sangakkara Sri Lankan famous batsman announced today on 16th march 2014, to retire after the on going T20 cup in Bangladesh 2014.

The former captain mentioned in his interview that we should give the next crop of players an opportunity. It's a natural progression. However Sangakkara told that he is willing to play ODI's at least till the coming world cup in Australia and New Zealand.

Sangakkara brought his team to the final of T20 world cup two times, in 2009 and 2012 but both time unfortunately they failed to win. He described that we might have got success if we put 150 scores in 2009 T20 final and if we could have restricted the West Indies to 110 or so.
